#NorthsideStJ 4th graders visited the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Walnut Grove this morning. It was a great day of learning and fun.

The Bike Fleet has arrived at #NorthsideStJ. Students in Grades 3-5 in partnership with the City of St. James and SHIP are getting the opportunity to ride bikes at school.
Students in K-2 are receiving lessons in pedestrian safety during phy ed classes.


The Minnesota Elementary School Principals' Association (MESPA) recently highlighted the community art project #NorthsideStJ has completed the past four years

K-5 students at #NorthsideStJ are gearing up for Bike-Walk to school day on May 7th. Grades K-2 students are learning pedestrian safety in Phy Ed, while Grades 3-5 students are learning about Bike Safety.



#NorthsideStJ 4th Graders in Mr. Kaus' class held a socratic seminar today on the essential question: "How does a challenging setting or physical environment change a person?" Way to go!


Last week, to wrap up Module 2 learning in Wit & Wisdom, #NorthsideStJ 3rd graders were had a visit from the Exploradome from the Bell Museum to explore constellations and space.




Today is National "Schwa Day." #NorthsideStJ Staff were "unstressed" like a Schwa today, and the cafe cart was out for everyone to enjoy lemonade, which has a schwa in its pronunciation. Thank you to SUN Room, Taher, and staff for a great day celebrating Schwa.

It was a great morning having "Muttnik" visit, and our #NorthsideStJ students are excited to kick off the Muttnik Reading Challenge.




#NorthsideStJ grade 5 students are beginning Module 3 to explore "What factors led to the start of the Civil War?"
Today, they explored the prefix anti- to determine the meanings of the words: antiflu, antibody, anti-aging, and antifreeze.




#NorthsideStJ KA Students are kicking off Module 3: Then and Now with a book walk" and determining if the text is literary or informational. Way to go! Students were blown away that in the "past" kids had to WALK to school.
