Northside 5th Graders have been busy researching the 1900’s and would love to share what they have learned with you! We would love for you to join us and celebrate their hard work and learning! Everyone is welcome to attend! Family, friends, and community members included!
Northside’s Social Committee is excited to bring in Reve Coffee Truck to celebrate the last week of school! They will be setup in the Northside parking lot from 7am-11am! Open to the public!
Northside 2nd & 3rd graders were excited to welcome recycled art artist David Hamlow back for a hands-on toy-making workshop! Students created their own recycled art projects and take them home. Huge thanks to David’s grant funding for making this experience possible!

After 8 seasons as the St. James Saintettes Assistant Coach, Nicole Anderson has officially been named the new Head Dance Coach at St. James High School!
Nicole is excited to build on the strong foundation of the Saintettes program while continuing to inspire growth, passion, and excellence in St. James dance. Congratulations, Coach Anderson!

Northside K–2 Field Day Update
Due to the forecasted rain and storms, Northside K–2 Field Day has been moved to Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Students/Staff/Families Get Ready: 11:30am-12:00pm
Official Start Time: 12:00pm – 2:15pm
Location: Behind Northside Elementary School
Please have students dress appropriately for cooler weather. If conditions become too cool or unfavorable, activities will be moved indoors.
Thank you for your flexibility and support as we work to provide a fun and safe experience for our students!

Drew, Adisyn, Ava, Valeria, Soraya, and Vanessa shared their experiences and talked about the many benefits they have gained through participation, including friendships, confidence, leadership, and a stronger connection to school.
Thank you to these student leaders for encouraging our soon-to-be 7th graders to step outside their comfort zones and give something new a try! We are excited to see how this group gets involved next year.

Our 2nd grade ELD classes are diving into science as they learn about the digestive system!
Students are exploring the steps of the digestion process and practicing how to explain each stage using new vocabulary and speaking skills. It’s exciting to see them connect science and language learning in such a hands-on way!

Today is Childcare Provider Day! Thank you to our dedicated staff that support and care for students at Armstrong stretching from SJCC, SBTB, Wee Saints, and VPK along with our other early childhood programming staff! #GoSaints!
Yesterday, in 1st Grade SEL (Social Emotional Learning), students participated in another great collaboration and problem-solving activity! Using straws, students worked together in small groups and then as one large group to connect with each other, stand up, and move around the room as a team.
It was a fun challenge that encouraged teamwork, communication, and creative thinking! Followed by some great discussion and reflection!

This last month, the cafe had a special visitor from Miss Pauling! Our students were so excited to have our student teacher back from last year to share the day with! 🫶🏼
The staff finished out their year with a piña colada smoothie and cold brew whereas the students enjoyed Easter Punch topped with a fun marshmallow treat! 🐥
