Hello #NorthsideStJ families, October 29, 2021
We are quickly entering the month of November. We are entering an extremely busy two months at Northside. Here is an update on our month of October as well as things to be aware of for November.
MORNING DROP-OFF
Families, thank you for doing such an incredible job at dismissal with the changing of the car loop and bus loop this school year. Please remember to make changes in the PikMyKid app by 2:30pm each day should your child’s mode of transportation change for the day. Now a brief note regarding drop-off in the morning. When dropping off your child in the morning, if you intend on waiting in your vehicle with your child before allowing them to head into the building, please park in a parking space in the lot. We ask that we reserve the loop for parents that will be able to pull all the way up through the loop to allow their child to exit and then parents are able to continue out of the loop. As we approach the winter months, we also ask for extra caution to be exerted as we drop-off and pick-up students each day.
NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 5th
There is no school on Friday, November 5th as we will be holding parent teacher conferences from 7:30-3:30pm that day. We thank you for your understanding as we take time to conference with families to share the great things your children are doing!
SCHOOL PICTURE DAY
This year we have continued our partnership with SPX Sports in Mankato for school photos. Pictures will take place on Thursday, November 4th during the school day.. Look in this week’s VIP for the picture day order form to be returned on picture day. SPX states that you may pay by cash or check. Exact change required. No change can be given on the day of picture day.
WINTER 5 WEATHER GEAR
Winter weather is creeping up on us quicker than some would like. As a reminder, please be sure to have your child wear the winter 5: Hat, Gloves, Jacket, Snow Pants, Boots. We will be going outside as much as possible in the coming weeks and months, even when it’s cold we will still find our way outside as weather allows.
