Welcome to Northside Elementary School! Built in 1974 Northside is a single story school with an open floor plan. In the summer of 2007 our school received many safety upgrades as well as the addition of two lovely new Kindergarten rooms to accommodate our all-day every day Kindergarten program. Our school grounds are spacious with hard surface play areas as well as wide expanses of grass. The recent installation of new equipment has further improved the play value for our children during their recess and physical education classes. Our school is home to ECSE programs through Grade Three with an enrollment of 360-370 students. Our classrooms are clustered together giving our teachers the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with one another. Teamwork is an important part of the Northside School Culture. Strong Academic programs are offered at every level. In addition to current curriculum in Math, Reading, Science, Technology and Social Studies, students at Northside have the benefit of working with specialists in the following areas; Art, Music, P.E., Spanish Language instruction and Media. Children who are English Language Learners have certified ESL teachers to assist them. All staff members and paraprofessionals at Northside are highly qualified according to the NCLB national standards and are dedicated to the individual achievement of each and every one of their students.
